Sewage Discharge Contained at 25699 St. Michaels Road; No Impact to Waterways

On Monday, September 22, 2025, between approximately 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., the Talbot County Sanitary District responded to a sewage discharge at 25699 St. Michaels Road, near the St. Michaels (Region II) Wastewater Treatment Plant. The overflow was caused by a cracked force main pipe and was quickly contained and repaired. Read more

Easton Ice Rink Welcomes New Teams for 2025–2026 Season

Talbot County Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce that the Easton Ice Rink will serve as the new home rink for the Delmarva Warriors and Salisbury University Ice Hockey Team for the 2025–2026 season. Talbot County Problem-Solving Court Celebrates Graduate During National Recovery Month

The Circuit Court for Talbot County’s Problem-Solving Court (PSC) proudly celebrated its most recent graduate, Kyle, who successfully completed the program and joins a growing community of individuals who have worked tirelessly to transform their lives. New Entrance to Talbot County Community Center Now Open

The new vehicular entrance to the Talbot County Community Center and Parks & Recreation complex is now open, and visitors are encouraged to begin using it as soon as possible. This change comes in preparation for the planned closure of the current U.S. Route 50 entrance later this year for roadway improvements tied to the construction of the new University of Maryland Shore Regional Medical Center.
